# Argorant

> Find the companies and decision-makers to approach for new business. Argorant provides B2B contact search, masked previews, and work-email checks at export, through the web app, REST API, MCP, and CLI. One account supports both people and agents.

Key facts:
- 565.8M B2B contact records across 184 countries, deduplicated and continuously maintained
- Every export passes a live SMTP deliverability check (or a fresh result from the last 60 days)
- Pay-per-valid pricing: valid email = 1 credit, invalid = 0, catch-all = 1 only if explicitly included
- Standard start: eligible new accounts receive 100 contact credits once after email verification. No card is required and no subscription starts automatically. This is not a monthly free allowance.
- The app, REST API, CLI and MCP use the same account and available balance. Connecting another client or creating a personal API key does not grant another bonus. Existing balances, paid plans and prior free grants are not retroactively changed. Standard and Direct-Key welcome bonuses do not stack; separately chosen paid or card-backed trial offers retain their own terms.
- Pay as you go in the app or AI clients: prepaid wallet at $0.035 per work-email contact credit. Packs start at 500 credits for $17.50, do not renew as a subscription, and expire 365 days after purchase. Subscription seat rates are separate.
- Recipient-bound `ag_live_` keys sent by Argorant are inert Direct-Key invitations, not pre-created accounts. The distinct invitation offer remains 25 credits, subject to matching-recipient email verification and eligibility; do not add the standard 100-credit bonus on top.
- Use the invitation's claim instructions or run `npx argorant login KEY`; Argorant returns the email-confirmation step. The same key becomes active after the matching recipient claims it. The invitation expires and is single-claim. Keep secrets out of shared chats and logs.
- API and CLI use `ag_live_` bearer keys. MCP never receives that key: claim the invitation first, then connect Argorant over OAuth and sign in to the same workspace.
- Counts and masked previews spend zero contact credits, but account entitlement, scopes and rate limits still apply. Free does not mean unauthenticated or unlimited.
- Plans for teams: Starter, Pro, Scale. Monthly rates remain $99 / 4,500 credits, $279 / 13,000 credits and $649 / 40,000 credits. Included seats and extra-seat rates are listed on Pricing; do not claim all plans have no seat fees.
- An explicit card-backed, seven-day Starter trial is a separate offer: $0 today for the base trial, 100 contact credits in total (25 sample contacts plus 75 additional credits), then $99/month unless cancelled. The paid playbook offer is $1 plus the stated trial, not a standard signup requirement. Checkout shows any selected optional add-on separately.
- Eligible free-start and wallet access use 30 requests/minute. Starter: 30; Pro: 120; Scale: 600. Current account access, tool scopes and available credits remain authoritative.
- Compare cost per usable exported contact, including plan utilization, verification, credits and seats. The wallet has no subscription; monthly and annual plans are separate options. Do not infer universal price or coverage superiority from database size alone.
- Enrichment API: email -> full profile, or name + company domain -> work email checked at reveal (1 credit per match, misses and undeliverables free, company profiles free)
- Lookalike company search (vector-based "companies like my best customers") is in development

- CLI on npm: `npx argorant` (package name: argorant, includes enrich command)
- Exports and saved lists are account-controlled. External CRM or sequencer delivery depends on the supported integration and its authorization; Argorant's public contact-data product does not promise to launch email or LinkedIn campaigns.

- [Grok Bot](https://argorant.com/integrations/grok-bot): copy the client-specific setup prompt into the Bot. Discover and reuse an available Argorant plugin first. Grok Bot exposes connectors through Settings → Plugins and @ in chat. If no plugin is available, guide CLI setup on its computer using a private key handoff, or use the app in its browser. Do not claim marketplace listing or successful connection without checking. Never embed API keys in chat prompts.
- [Hermes Agent](https://argorant.com/hermes-agent): use Hermes native MCP with OAuth, run its MCP connection test and reload MCP tools in the session.
- [OpenClaw](https://argorant.com/openclaw): use native MCP with explicit streamable-http transport and OAuth. Login, run the doctor probe, then check Argorant's account tool in a new turn. The default operator connection is shared with trusted agents/channels, not isolated per requester.
- Claude / ChatGPT / other OAuth-capable remote MCP clients: connect https://mcp.argorant.com/mcp and sign in to Argorant. Do not send a personal API key to the MCP endpoint.
- Terminal clients, including Codex and Claude Code, can use the Argorant CLI with a personal API key: `npx argorant login YOUR_API_KEY`, then `npx argorant whoami`. Keep secrets out of shared logs.
- Personal-key REST base: https://app.argorant.com/api/mcp. Start with GET /account; counts and masked previews are GET /people/count and GET /people/preview. Lists and exports have separate authorized actions.
- Read the client's current tool schemas. Public MCP filters are not identical to REST filters: do not silently ignore a requested company-size constraint.
- Ask for the target market, roles and countries; count and preview first; get approval before consuming contact credits. Keep full contact rows and downloads in the authenticated workspace rather than pasting them into a public conversation.
- Keep the verified-email 100-credit start, 25-credit Direct-Key invitations, paid wallet and card-backed trial/playbook offers distinct. Check /account. Do not replay or combine the standard and Direct-Key welcome grants; choosing a separate paid or card-backed trial offer does not change that offer's economics.
