Best Data Sources for AI SDR Agents

A reference architecture for AI SDR data, separating company coverage, people coverage, verification, CRM and suppression state, personalization evidence, and sender activation.

Reviewed and updated August 20, 2026 by Argorant

Direct answer

An AI SDR needs a pipeline, not one database. Use a source that can size accounts and people, verify work emails at the point of use, check CRM duplicates and suppressions, ground personalization in supported evidence, and pass only eligible records to a sender. Argorant can own search through verified export and directly push to selected systems, while Clay and sender tools remain orchestration and activation layers.

What is actually supported

These labels separate a code-backed direct path from documentation, generic HTTP, CSV, and workflows that still require an end-to-end test. A marketing logo alone does not count as support.

Source and verification

Direct

Argorant supports search, count, preview, reveal, and valid-only export.

Direct CRM handoff

Direct

Code-backed providers are HubSpot, Pipedrive, and Google Sheets.

Direct sequencer handoff

Direct

Code-backed providers are Smartlead, Instantly, and lemlist.

Other destinations

CSV

Salesforce requires CSV or a separately built API workflow; Clay is an HTTP API pattern.

Sequencer push roadmap

Test-gated

Argorant plans to build its own direct push endpoints for sequencers with public APIs; roadmap destinations are not shipped support until code and E2E tests exist.

Reproducible workflow

  1. 1

    Define the company universe

Translate the ICP into industry, geography, size, keyword, and exclusion filters, then count it.

Expected result: A measurable candidate market before contact spend.
  2. 2

    Select people

Choose roles and seniority, inspect a masked preview, and reject segments with weak relevance.

Expected result: A role-appropriate person layer.
  3. 3

    Apply eligibility

Require valid status, deduplicate against CRM, apply suppression lists, and retain evidence for the opening line.

Expected result: Only contactable, non-suppressed, supportably personalized records remain.
  4. 4

    Activate idempotently

Push to Smartlead, Instantly, or lemlist with the destination campaign selected, or export for another destination, and log the response.

Expected result: One eligible lead enters one intended campaign once.

Inspect the market before a paid action

The result count is the first control point. It lets an operator or agent confirm that the interpreted filters produce a plausible market before revealing or exporting contact data.

Verification gates

  • Prove search-to-Smartlead, search-to-Instantly, and search-to-lemlist with disposable campaigns.
  • Measure usable rows, duplicate holds, invalid holds, suppressed records, and charged credits.
  • Confirm the campaign receives only valid records and duplicate retries do not create duplicate leads.

Claims this guide does not make

  • Do not describe sender tools as primary contact databases.
  • Do not claim Salesforce is a direct Argorant provider.
  • Do not present the planned direct-push roadmap for sequencers with public APIs as currently available.
  • Do not claim Argorant currently performs autonomous outreach as part of the data product.

Frequently asked questions

Can one provider run the entire AI SDR?

A provider can cover several layers, but source data, CRM truth, suppression, evidence, and sending still have distinct failure modes. Keep those boundaries visible even when one UI connects them.

Should catch-all or unknown records enter a campaign?

Not under a valid-only policy. Hold them in a separate review or secondary-risk lane and keep primary-domain sending limited to records classified as valid.
