How to find CFO email addresses without guessing

The target is not every person whose title contains a familiar acronym. The useful target is a person owning finance, capital allocation, treasury, reporting, and financial systems. That distinction changes both the title set and the company filters.

For the published count we used "chief financial officer" or "CFO". We did not silently add adjacent managers or vice presidents. Broader title logic can increase reach, but it should appear as a separate segment so response and conversion rates remain interpretable.

Pattern generation can create a candidate address, but it does not prove that the mailbox exists or belongs to the intended person. Finder and verifier outcomes must therefore remain separate fields.

A production list should retain the source record, company, title, verification result, verification timestamp, and suppression decision. Unknown and catch-all are not synonyms for valid. They belong in separate risk lanes and should not enter a valid-only campaign by default.

Remove CRM customers, open opportunities, prior opt-outs, recent contacts, duplicates, and companies outside the campaign thesis. Personalization should be grounded in a real company attribute or trigger, not invented from a vague website sentence.

The final unit is an eligible contact: the right role at the right company, with a currently valid work email, an allowed use, and enough evidence to write a relevant message.
